Flat Leaf Parsley (Petroselium sativum) is a biennial herbaceous plant belonging to the Umbelliferae family, widely used worldwide as a seasoning.
This plant generally grows to a height of 15-20 cm and forms a rosette of finely divided, aromatic leaves.
There are two types of parsley: flat leaf and curly leaf.
General Growing Tips:
- This hardy plant prefers medium soils, rich in organic matter, and fresh.
- Sowing can occur year-round in temperate winter zones, but it is typically done from late winter to mid-summer.
- Seeds germinate slowly, taking 25 to 40 days, requiring constant moisture and mild temperatures.
- Sowing can be done by broadcasting or in rows separated by 30-40 cm at a rate of 1.5 grams per m².
